Ashlar 58 Easter Pancake Breakfast

Brethren,

Ashlar Assembly 58 (International Order for the Rainbow for Girls) is having their Annual Easter Pancake Breakfast (Flyer) on Sunday, April 24 th, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Temple Lodge 6.

The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children (12 and under), and the breakfast will consist of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

This annual pancake breakfast is a major fundraiser for the girls of Ashlar 58 - helping to raise funds for their annual community projects and the New Mexico Rainbow Grand Assembly held in June.

As the sponsoring Lodge of Ashlar 58 - we hope Brethren of Temple 6 will come out and support this wonderful event for the girls.

Shrine Easter Egg Hunt

A message from the Ballut Abyad Shrine Young Guns Unit:

Brethren,

With the extreme assistance of the Shrine Clowns and Daughters of the Nile, the Young Guns Shrine Unit invites the families of Masons and Prospectives to attend the Annual Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow morning, (Saturday - April 23rd) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Ballut Abyad Shrine Center, 6600 Zuni, Albuquerque, NM, 87108 (Map).

Bring your children (and grandchildren) and enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt, games, Shrine Clowns and hot dogs, all at no cost.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be broken down into different age brackets, since 3 year olds hunt differently than 10 year olds. The Young Guns are committed to providing family events and parties that appeal to a wide range of ages that not only promote the value and fun of the Shrine but do so in a way that positively impacts our children and the community.

2010 MTMAA Results

Brethren,

It is with great pride and joy that we announce Temple Lodge 6 and Sandia Mountain Lodge 72 have been selected to receive the Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award (MTMAA) for 2010. The announcement came at this years Conference of Grandmasters of Masons in North America, held at the Denver Sheraton Hotel, Colorado (Feb. 20 -22, 2011). MWB Garry Deck (Grand Master of Masons in New Mexico) and MWB Danny Calloway (NM Grand Secretary) were in attendance during the announcement of last years recipients of the MTMAA.

The MTMAA is a National Masonic Award sponsored by the Masonic Services Association of North America, Masonic Information Center and was created to recognize Masonic lodges across the country who have demonstrated exemplary work in constructing a positive Masonic identity within the lodge and for the local community. MTMAA winners are limited to less than 30 lodges each year and for 2010 - only 17 Masonic Lodges received this prestigious honor. We would also like to add that Temple Lodge 6 and Sandia Mountain Lodge 72 are the first lodges in New Mexico to receive the MTMAA.
