Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award

For those Brethren of Temple Lodge No. 6 who may not already know, our Lodge has been entered into the 2009 Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award competition. This national recognition award was introduced at the 2006 Conference of Grand Masters of Masonry in North America by the Masonic Information Center (MIC) and the first award winners were introduced in 2007.

In order for a Lodge to win the Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award it must demonstrate it’s commitment to energy, innovation and creativity toward achieving the objective of moving Masonry into the 21st century. This is accomplished by providing a submission packet to the Masonic Information Center with evidence of activities that clarify and communicate Masonic identity.

Our entry, along with several others from across the country will be judged by the MIC Task Force. Lodges will be contacted by the MIC if they are named a winner of the Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award, and they will be announced in February at the 2010 Conference of Grand Masters, in Arlington, VA.
