On Thursday, June 24th, WB Nate Calloway and Bro. Everett Goodman were awarded the Grand Cross of Color (GCOC) by the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG), New Mexico Rainbow, during the 2010 New Mexico Grand Assembly in Albuquerque, NM.
Founded in 1922, the IORG is a non-profit organization/Masonic youth group for girls between the ages of 11 and 20 that strives to give girls the tools, training, and encouragement to let their individual spirits shine bright. By providing members with a safe, fun, caring environment where responsible, older girls can interact and mentor younger girls through family involvement.
The GCOC is the highest award that can be bestowed to a Rainbow Girl or adult from the IORG, and this years ceremony honored nine Rainbow Girls and adults for their service to the IORG, NM Rainbow and individual Assemblies.

Following the award ceremony was the GCOC Mystic Banquet where previous recipients of this award came together to celebrate this event and reaffirm their vows to the IORG, New Mexico Rainbow, and each other as "Masters of the Grand Cross of Color".
This was a truly wonderful ceremony and banquet event for WB Calloway and Bro. Goodman who were honored to have been nominated by Ashlar Assembly 58 to receive this award and to have it bestowed upon them at this years Grand Assembly by New Mexico Rainbow.
Congratulations to all the recipients of this years GCOC!
